The new song to listen to this week is Fireworks by First Aid Kit. First Aid Kit is an indie folk band from Sweden composed of sisters Klara and Johanna Söderberg. The song Fireworks comes from their fourth album Ruins.

The song Fireworks is about self-destruction. The songs lyrics tell a story about constantly going after something even though you know from past experiences that you will end up hurt in the end. The song highlights the harmonies that these sisters flawlessly achieve in all of their songs.

First Aid Kit is similar to artists such as Emmylou Harris and Fleet Foxes. If you like nostalgic folk music that is all together modern while still holding true to old school styles and harmonies then First Aid Kit is a band you should check out.
