This family-friendly intercultural celebration with a festival atmosphere features student groups from around the globe who share their culture and country with the campus and community. Delicious traditional food, cultural information, artifacts, activities, crafts, music, dancing, and entertainment are showcased.
This free and open to the public celebration is one of the most popular and anticipated annual campus offerings. Over the past 50 years, thousands of attendees have enjoyed the opportunity to partake in the cuisine from countries ranging from Austria to Zambia, observed traditional song and dance performances and taken part in a variety of fun, educational activities.
“International Night is like a door for diversification. For a small community like Findlay, UF’s cultural and diversity events are a stage to introduce our home and cultures to the outside world while going to school, for which I am grateful. I enjoy showing my culture and learning something new about a different culture simultaneously. It is an incredible experience. Also, I need to thank you all from the Buford Center for letting us feel like home even when miles away from home.” – Manasa Akkineni
Join us on Friday, March 29, 2019, from 5:30 – 8:00 pm as we celebrate the 50th year for this special event.
International Night is hosted by UF’s Buford Center for Diversity and Service. For more information, contact Jennifer Butler at butler@findlay.edu or at 419-434-5855.
